Misc.

I would love for all of my posts to be these lovely coherent entries. Where I tell a funny story about the trials and travails of my daily life then end with a quirky, yet thought-provoking idea. Maybe a good quote. Like Jerry Springer, but sweeter and with fewer trannies.

I don't think this entry is going to be like that.

Thing I want. A laser-engraved Moleskine notebook. To write the outline for my novella that will be written entirely in rhyme. Or a grocery list. Whichever comes first.

Things that annoy me.
-When everyone who is riding in a car is talking on their own cell phone.
-The fact that I haven't read a new book or seen a new movie recently and therefore have been unable to update my Excel spreadsheet. Yeah, I'm that girl.
While we're on this topic it's come to my attention that although I say a lot of things annoy me. I can never remember what they are. Just something to consider.

Oh wait, I do have a good quote to end this with. One of my favorites from a book called Oh Pure and Radiant Heart by Lydia Millet. It's about librarians and nuclear war and time travel. She also wrote George Bush, Dark Prince of Love which I definitely suggest reading as soon as possible. It's hilarious.

"How much is learned unconsciously? It must be vast, she thought. We sweep through fields of knowledge and later all we can see is the dirt that clings to the hem of our clothes." -Lydia Millet
