The List So Far

Wait.
Is this my second post of the day?
Yes, miracles still occur. I hope the time/space continuum can handle this.

Just looking at my Excel spreadsheet (so casually I drop it into conversation!) and wanted to list my favorite movies of 2009.
Note: This includes every movie I have seen that is new to me, not just new releases.
To be honest, I did not include the fact that I watched Anchorman Tuesday night or that I watched Crocodile Dundee (the 1st one of course) on Memorial Day. I dismiss the first one b/c I've seen it many many times and the second one because I had like 4 gin and tonics beforehand. Drunk viewing rarely gets on The Spreadsheet.

Note: Wall-E tore out my heart, made it into a delicious jam and then spread it onto toast of joy. Seriously, I would review it but my tears on the keyboard would make it hard to type.

You know, the rest of my weekend was kind of uneventful. Some music, read a little bit, got more mosquito bites.

I realized as I got to work this morning that this is a 4 day workweek, oh frabjous day!

Oh yeah, this couple at Bongo Java also told me about their new age-y religion and tried to get me to read this book http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Course_in_Miracles

The NY Times gave You Don't Mess With the Zohan and Kung Fu Panda good reviews.
It gave Kung Fu Panda a great review.

Is it bad that I kind of want to see both of them now? Oh A.O. Scott, where you lead, I will follow.

I'm trying to be more focused with my movie watching. I've gotten a little distracted by all of the tv on dvd I've been watching for the past few months.
I reconfigured my netflix queue, so I'm hoping that I'll have the gumption to blog more about the movies that I see.
